1 (3 1/2 oz.) pkg. chocolate instant pudding
1 chocolate cake mix (regular)
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts
Whipped topping. optional

Make pudding according to directions on box, but in large bowl. Add cake mix and blend well. Pour in greased 9x13 pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over top of cake and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve warm or cold and with or without whipped topping.
