2 c. self-rising flour 1 tbsp. baking powder Pinch of salt 1 to 1 1/2 c. milk 4 tbsp. cold butter 1/2 c. raisins or currants Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Blend flour, baking powder, salt and raisins. Rub cold butter into mix with your fingers. Add milk and stir. Place dough on well floured cloth and roll to about 1 inch thickness. Cut rounds with cutter. Butter and flour baking sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. |
