1 c. Seasoned Fish Fry
1 c. cornmeal
3 tbsp. finely chopped shallots
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
Enough milk to make a thick batter.

Mix; roll into small cakes and drop into deep boiling shortening. When cakes are golden brown, remove and place on absorbent paper. Server about 20.
