NUT COOKIES OR ROLLS
 

3 1/2 c. flour (save 1/2 c. for kneading)
1/2 lb. butter
3 egg yolks
1/2 pt. sour cream
Pinch of salt
1 sm. cake yeast
1 tsp. baking powder
3 tbsp. sugar

Mix flour, salt and baking powder. Add butter after melted. Mix well. Add egg yolk, sour cream and sugar and crumble yeast. Knead very good for about 5 minutes. Make the dough into pretty big balls to roll out. Sprinkle flour and sugar on your board for making pies or anything of bake goods and also on the rolling pin. Roll out and cut into squares.

Put nut filling in the squares and fold over. Make into crescent rolls. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

For the rolls same ingredients. Roll out and spread the nut filling on the dough. Grease cookie sheet and place the roll up nut roll on the sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes until brown.

FILLING (NUTS) :

2 c. ground nuts
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. milk to moisten mixture
1 c. raisins (wash in warm water)

Mix together in a bowl.
