CRANBERRY APPLE BREAD
 

1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. cloves
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1/3 c. milk
3/4 c. chopped walnuts
3/4 c. chopped apple
3/4 c. chopped cranberries
Glaze: 1/2 c. powdered sugar and 2 tsp. milk

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in large bowl until well blended. In second bowl, beat butter, sugar until light and creamy. Beat in eggs, one at a time until well blended.

Alternately beat flour mixture and milk into butter and sugar mixture beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Stir in cranberries, apples, and walnuts until just combined. Put in greased and floured loaf pan.

Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool 10 minutes in pan. Remove loaf from pan and cool completely on rack. Drizzle glaze over bread if desired.
