YEAST ROLLS
 

1 c. milk
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
Approximately 1/3 cup shortening

Scald milk, add salt, sugar, shortening and let cool to lukewarm.

1 c. warm water
1 pkg. yeast
1 to 2 eggs
5 to 6 c. flour

Beat until smooth. Mix all together. Knead for approximately 8 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Let rise for approximately 2 hours or until double in size. Punch down. Make rolls and place in greased pan. Let rise until double. Bake at 350 to 400 degrees for 15 to 25 minutes or until a deep golden brown.
