2 pkgs. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 2 tsp. sugar 1 egg, beaten 1/2 c. sugar 2 tbsp. soft lard 1 1/2 tbsp. salt Soak the dry yeast and sugar in warm water for 5 minutes. Beat egg, 1/2 cup sugar, lard and salt, then add 2 1/2 cups lukewarm water and enough flour to make sponge. Beat well and add yeast mixture. Beat again. Add more flour to make soft dough. Knead, let rise and punch. Let rise again and shape into buns. Let rise and bake. |
