16 chicken drumettes (wings) 1/2 c. soy sauce 1/4 c. chopped onion 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 tsp. minced fresh ginger root 1 tsp. Chinese 5 spice (if not available combine: 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. each ground allspice and crushed anise seed, 1/8 tsp. ground cloves and dash of black pepper) Marinate chicken in soy sauce, onion, garlic, ginger root and spices 3 to 4 hours or overnight. Drain and arrange chicken in a shallow greased baking dish. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes or until tender, turning once. Serve hot or cold. |
