SALAD INGREDIENTS: 3 c. lettuce, broken into small pieces 1 1/2 c. cooked chicken, cut into small pieces 8 oz. can sliced water chestnuts 1/2 c. julienne carrots 1/4 c. red cabbage 1/4 c. green onions 3 oz. can of chow mein noodles DRESSING INGREDIENTS: 3 1/2 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. sugar 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 tbsp. rice vinegar 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. sesame oil Mix above salad ingredients including chicken and chestnuts. Whisk dressing ingredients together. Pour over salad and toss. Just before serving, add 3 ounce can of chow mein noodles. Serves 4 to 6 people. |
