OVEN BARBECUED CHICKEN
 

2 fryers, split in half
butter
Salt & pepper
Poultry seasoning (opt.)
1/4 c. vinegar
4 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. Open Pit barbecue sauce
3/4 c. catsup or tomato sauce

Put chicken in broiler pan, skin side down. Dot with butter. Season with salt and pepper. Bake in 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes. Mix vinegar, sugar, barbecue sauce and catsup together. Turn chicken and baste for another 45 minutes or until done. For crisper skin, put under broiler for a few minutes.
