POTATO CHEESE CHOWDER
 

2 c. diced potatoes
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. boiling water
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. flour
2 c. milk
2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Combine potatoes, onion, salt and water in pan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Set aside. Do not drain.

Melt butter, stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add milk. Simmer, stirring constantly until thickened. Remove from heat. Add cheese. Add undrained vegetables and Worcestershire sauce. Heat through but do not boil. Makes 5 cups.
