POTATO SOUP WITH DUMPLINGS
 

Cube potatoes and onion. Barely cover with water, salt and let it come to a boil, turn down. Let simmer until potatoes are done. Add milk and 1/2 stick butter.

DUMPLINGS: Beat 2 to 3 eggs, salt and flour to make stiff dough. Break up dumplings, put in soup, turn down more. Cover, cook 15 to 20 minutes.
