1 1/2 qts. water 2 c. potatoes, cubed 1/2 c. carrots, diced 1 tsp. dried onion flakes 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. celery seed 2 1/2 c. creamed or liquified fresh corn (or substitute 2 cans niblets corn run through blender for a few seconds) 1 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. savory Simmer until tender the potato and carrot in the water along with the onion flakes, salt and celery seed. When tender add the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boiling point. Serve with soup crackers or bread sticks. |
