APPLE TART PUFF PASTRY
 

3/4 c. flour
2 tbsp. butter
2 - 3 tbsp. ice cold water
1/2 tsp. sugar
2 lg. Golden Delicious apples
2 tbsp. apricot jam
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tbsp. butter

In a food processor, place the flour, butter and sugar. Process 5 seconds and then add water and process another 5 seconds. Remove dough and place between 2 layers of plastic wrap. Roll out to form a circle, about 10 inches. Refrigerate. For filling, peel apples and cut in half. Remove core and hollow them out with a measuring spoon. Place 1/2 tablespoon jam in the hollow of each apple half and put cut side down on dough. Place apple in center of circle. Bring edge of dough up over the apple. Sprinkle top with sugar and dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
