1 c. shortening
1/2 c. boiling water
1 tsp. salt
Pinch of baking powder
Pinch of sugar
3 c. flour or enough for dough to handle easily.
Beat together the 1 cup shortening and 1/2 cup boiling water. Beat until creamy, let cool then add the rest of ingredients.
This makes two double crust pies. Never fails. Leftover dough can be kept for several days.
