SPICED BLUEBERRY PIE
 

1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 tbsp. flour
4 c. frozen blueberries, thawed
Pastry for 2 crust pie
1 tbsp. butter
Dairy sour cream or ice cream

Combine sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon and flour, mixing well. Line a 9 inch pie plate with uncooked pastry. Add a layer of blueberries, then sprinkle with some of the sugar mixture. Repeat layers until berries and sugar mixture have been used. Dot top with small pieces of butter.

Add pastry for top crust and seal edges around pan. Brush milk over pastry and sprinkle with sugar. Prick pastry with fork in several places.

Bake in oven preheated to 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue to bake about 30 minutes or until done. Serve pie warm garnished with dairy sour cream or ice cream and additional blueberries, if desired.
