LEMON SOUR CREAM PIE
 

1 c. sugar
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 stick butter
1 tbsp. grated lemon rind
1/4 c. lemon juice
3 egg yolks
1 c. milk
1 c. sour cream
1 baked pie shell

Combine sugar and cornstarch in heavy saucepan. Add rind and lemon juice. Add egg yolks, butter and milk. Cook over medium heat until thick. Cool.

Fold in sour cream and pour into pie shell. Make meringue of three egg whites, 6 tablespoons sugar, dash of salt. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned.
