FRESH STRAWBERRY PIE
 

1 baked 9-inch pie shell
1 qt. fresh strawberries
1/2 c. sugar
3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
1 or 2 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. red Jello
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Thin cheese with small amount of cream, spread on bottom of crust. Arrange fresh berries over cheese, to fill bottom of pie. Crush remaining berries, add sugar (small amount of water is optional). Strawberries can be strained before thickening, if desired. Heat, thicken with cornstarch. Add red Jello to hot juice. Cool. Pour over fresh berries. Top with whipped cream.
