Add ingredients to mixing bowl in order given and blend well. Spread in greased 9-inch springform pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool 15 minutes. Remove from pan and cool to room temperature.
For topping, whip until very stiff (don't overbeat or it will curdle) : 1/4 c. powdered sugar 4 tbsp. Kahlua (or to taste)
Spread topping over pie and sprinkle with more chocolate chips. (Creme de Menthe or Amaretto may be substituted for the Kahlua.) Serves 8-10.
