YEAST PIE CRUST
 

1/2 cake or 1 tsp. dried yeast
1/8 c. lukewarm water
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 tbsp. oil
1/3 c. milk
3/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour

Soften yeast in water. Blend egg, oil, milk and salt. Heat to lukewarm. Combine with yeast. Stir in flour and mix well. Turn into oiled bowl. Cover. Set in warm place to rise for 45 minutes. Turn onto floured board. Knead gently. Divide dough in half. Roll thin. Follow favorite recipe for filling or baking. Makes 2 (9 inch) crusts.
