HOT WATER PIE PASTRY
 

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup Crisco
1/4 cup boiling water

Whisk or sift together flour, baking powder and salt until well mixed.

Rub in Crisco or cut in with a pastry blender or 2 knives. Add just enough boiling water to make a stiff paste.

Roll out to 1/8" thickness on a well floured board.

Makes a single 9 inch crust.
