2 c. vinegar
2 c. water
2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. salt
Onion, quartered
Dill heads
Cucumbers, sliced lengthwise

Place 1 head of dill and 1 quarter onion in bottom of sterilized jars. Pack cucumber slices in jar. Heat to boiling the sugar, vinegar, water and salt. Pour over cucumbers to within 1" of top of jar. Wipe clean the mouth of the jar. Place sterilized flat and rings on jars. Process in water bath for 15 minutes for quarts. Do not pressure can.
