1 c. uncooked macaroni 1/2 lb. bacon 1/2 c. chopped onion 16 oz. can tomatoes 4 oz. (about 4 slices) American cheese, cut in strips 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 1/8 tsp. pepper Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook macaroni and drain. Cook bacon until crisp; drain; crumble. Saute onion in bacon fat until tender; drain. Combine all ingredients. Turn into greased 11x7x2 baking dish. Top with buttered crumbs, if desired. Bake uncovered 30-35 minutes. 4-6 servings. |
