Cocktail rye bread or pumpernickel 2 lbs. Jimmy Dean sausage (1 lb. hot, 1 lb. mild) 2 lbs. Velveeta cheese 1 onion, diced 1 green pepper, diced 1 tsp. anise 1 tsp. oregano Melt cheese and add browned meat and seasonings. Mix well. Spread on rye or pumpernickel; flash freeze on cookie sheets. After completely frozen, remove and stack in bags and return to freezer. Makes a huge batch. When you want to serve, bake 5 to 10 minutes in 450 degree oven. |
