4 c. sliced apple 1/2 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 c. molasses 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Line a 9" pie plate with pastry. Fill pie shell with apples. Mix sugar and spices together. Pour mixture over apples. Dot apples with butter. Place top crust on pie. Trim, seal and crimp edges. Place 2 (1") cuts in middle of top crust. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes and at 350 degrees for 30 minutes longer. PIE CRUST: 2 c. flour 2/3 c. Crisco 1/3 c. water 10 shakes of salt Cut in flour, Crisco and salt until flaky. Mix in 1/3 cups water. Roll out pie crust. |
