5 c. fine sugar
1 can evaporated milk
1 (12 oz.) pkg. Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 sticks Blue Bonnet butter
1 tsp. pure vanilla flavoring

On low heat, in large stainless steel saucepan, melt butter. Add milk and sugar, stirring constantly. Bring to rolling boil and cook for 12 minutes. Set off heat. Add chocolate chips and vanilla flavoring. Stir constantly while cooling. Nuts, optional.
