28 ripe tomatoes 6 green peppers 10 good size onions 2 heaping tbsp. salt 1 c. sugar 1 1/2 pt. vinegar 1 t tbsp. cinnamon 1/2 tbsp. whole cloves 3 tbsp. mustard seed 1/4 tbsp. ground cloves 3 tbsp. celery seed Chop or place all in grinder. When ground add spices, sugar and vinegar. Boil 3 hours, boil no longer. Jar while hot. Keep in dark place. |
