1 qt. sauerkraut 2 c. rice 1 onion 1 1/2 lb. smoked sausage Put meat and chopped onion in bottom of a kettle. Then sauerkraut and rice. Then add 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 2 tablespoon salt. Cover with water about an inch. You may add tablespoon bacon grease. If you use a pressure cookie cook only 10 minutes. In oven cook 2 hours at 300 degrees, don't let it get dry. Don't stir until done. |
