1 1/2 c. sugar 1 1/2 c. water 2 qt. rose petals (must be organic) 2 c. cold champagne Bring sugar and 1 1/2 cups water to boil. Stir. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool. Wash rose petals carefully. Pour cooled syrup and champagne over petals. Let stand covered for 3 hours or overnight. Strain through cheesecloth then freeze. Serve under the stars on a Manhattan balcony to someone you love. |
