2 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 4 tbsp. shortening 2 eggs 3 tbsp. baking powder 3/4 tsp. salt 1 c. raisins 1/2 c. milk Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together (add 1/2 cup wheat germ if desired). Cut in shortening with a pastry blender until mixture is like coarse meal. Add raisins. Beat eggs and milk together and blend into mixture. Line muffin tins with paper baking cups and fill each cup 2/3 full of mixture. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees or until golden brown. Makes 12 to 15 tea biscuits. |
