1/2 oz. Strega extract (from Italian deli)
1/4 oz. anise
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 qt. vodka

Dissolve sugar in 1 cup boiling water. Cool. Add other ingredients. Add to vodka bottle and let stand at room temperature for several days before using. Does not need to be refrigerated.
