SWEET AND SOUR BARBEQUED RIBS

2 lbs. (maybe more) country style ribs
1 sm. clove garlic, minced
1 can (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2/3 c. ketchup
1/2 c. vinegar
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
1/3 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Thin slices onion, optional
Thin slices lemon, optional

Take small piece of trimmed off fat and put it in hot skillet (iron frying pan is good). Brown ribs on all sides or brown in broiler or oven. Drain off fat.

Combine garlic, tomato sauce, ketchup, vinegar, pine-apple, brown sugar, mustard and Worcestershire sauce in saucepan. Bring to a boil. Stirring occasionally. Pour over ribs that have been put in shallow pan. ( I use broiler pan from oven). Arrange onion and lemon slices if desired. Bake uncovered 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until sauce has thickened and most of it has been absorbed by meat.
