6 lbs. pork spare ribs
Water
2 c. catsup
1/2 c. reconstituted lemon juice
1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. dark mustard
1/2 c. chopped (fine) onions
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
1 clove garlic (finely chopped)
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. hot pepper sauce
In large pan with cover, cook ribs in boiling water 45-60 minutes.
Meanwhile in medium saucepan combine remaining ingredients. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove ribs to grill. Grill ribs turning and brushing with sauce. Refrigerate leftover. Serves 5-8.
Tip: Sauce is also delicious on hamburger or chicken.
