AMIGO PIE
 

1/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. hot water
2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
1/2 c. sliced ripe olives

FILLING:

1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 env. taco mix
1/2 c. sliced ripe olives

Brown meat, drain. Add onion, olives, tomato sauce and seasoning. Simmer 10 minutes.

In separate bowl combine cornmeal, flour and baking powder. Add water and melted butter; mix until smooth. Stir in 1 cup Cheddar cheese and olives. Pour mixture into greased 10 inch pie plate.

Spoon meat mixture onto center to within 1 inch of edge. Gently press down. Top with remaining cheese and olive slices. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.
