MY OWN TERIYAKI FLANK STEAK
 

1-1 1/2 lb. beef flank steak
1 tbsp. salad oil
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 batch green onions, chopped
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. black pepper

Remove tendons and trim steak. Score steak on both sides in diamond pattern. Combine remaining ingredients and marinate 1 to 3 hours, turning several times.

Outside grill: Grill about 4 inches above white hot coals, brushing frequently with marinade. Grill about 5 minutes on each side. Serves 4 to 6.

Indoor broiler: Set broiler pan about 6 inches below heat. Broil about 8-10 minutes (longer if necessary) on each side. Brush frequently with marinade.
