STEAK IN A BAG
 

1 c. sliced French bread in crumbs
1 (2-3 lb.) London Broil
4 tbsp. butter, softened
4 tbsp. oil
1 tsp. crushed garlic
2 tsp. seasoned salt
2 1/2 tsp. pepper
1 c. shredded sharp cheese

Prepare bread crumbs. Set aside. Remove fat from steak. In bowl, mix butter, garlic, seasoned salt, pepper and oil. Spread on all sides of steak. Mix cheese with bread crumbs and press bread crumbs/cheese mixture on top of steak. At this point steak can be refrigerated for several hours. Before cooking, bring steak to room temperature.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place steak on baking sheet. Put in a paper grocery bag. Bake 30 minutes. For medium rare - increase oven temperature to 425 degrees and bake 15 minutes longer. Remove steak and let stand 5 minutes. Goes well with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans.
