OVEN BAKED BRISKET
 

1 (4 lb. or larger) brisket
1 onion, thinly sliced
3 or 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 rib celery, cut in 4-6 pieces
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 c. boiling water
4 tbsp. soy sauce
Salt & pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. On a cookie sheet or shallow roasting pan, place a length of heavy duty foil. Place 1/2 of onion, garlic and celery. Dissolve bouillon in boiling water and add soy sauce. Pour half the liquid over seasonings. Salt and pepper brisket. Place on seasonings. Add remaining seasonings and liquid. Seal foil and turn ends up so liquid won't leak into pan. Place in preheated oven and cook for 3 hours. Open foil carefully.
