OVEN BARBEQUED BRISKET

1 market, trimmed brisket (about 8 lb.)
Garlic salt
Powdered garlic
Black pepper
2 c. catsup
1 c. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 c. honey
1/4 c. lemon juice

Wash brisket, pat dry with paper toweling. Rub garlic salt, powdered garlic and pepper into brisket. Place brisket into foil-lined roaster and cover. Mix catsup, Worcestershire, honey and lemon juice. Pour 1/2 over brisket. Add remaining sauce about half way through cooking.

Heat oven at 500 degrees. Place brisket in oven. Reduce heat to 250 degrees. Cook until tender, 5-6 hours. Remove from oven. Allow to cool in pan. Lifts out using foil as a lift. Place on cutting board, remove foil. Slice across grain with electric knife. Slice as thin as possible. Arrange on ovenproof platter. Reheat if desired. Drain and reheat sauce. Will serve 10-12 people.
