JALAPENO JELLY
 

4-5 sweet peppers, seeded
12 long jalapeno peppers, seeded (may substitute banana peppers for jalapeno peppers)
3/4 c. water
3 c. vinegar
5 lb. sugar
2 bottles Certo jelly (use Certo only)
Few drops green food coloring

Put seeded peppers and 3/4 cup water into blender and pulverize. Combine in a large pan pulverized peppers, vinegar, and sugar boil hard for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add the two bottles of Certo and several drops of green food coloring. Pour into jars to thicken. Makes 10 pints of jelly. It's great as a party dish with cream cheese and your favorite crackers or just alone on snack crackers or biscuits.
