FRUIT COCKTAIL CAKE WITH HOT BUTTER
TOPPING
 

2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 med. can fruit cocktail with juice

TOPPING:

1 c. butter
3/4 c. milk
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

Topping: Boil until thick.

Oven, 350 degrees. Lightly grease an oblong baking dish. Mix flour and soda. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla; mix well. Add fruit and stir well. Pour into baking dish. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes. Cool before serving. Top individual pieces with Hot Butter Topping, if desired.
