STEAK GERMAN STYLE
 

1 1/2 lbs. round steak (1/2 inch thick)
6 slices bacon
3 dill pickles
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1/4 c. water
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Toothpicks

Mix together tomato sauce, water and Worcestershire sauce. Cut steak into 2x4 inch strips. Lay slice of bacon on each strip, small piece of dill pickle at one end of bacon. Roll up meat strips starting at end with pickle. Secure with toothpick.

Dredge in flour seasoned with salt and pepper. Brown in hot skillet with a little vegetable oil. Place rolled meat in casserole; pour tomato sauce mixture over meat. Bake at 250 degrees (covered) for 2 hours until meat can be cut by fork. Serve with buttered noodles and green beans.
