ITALIAN LEMON COOKIES
 

12 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 stick butter
2 tbsp. Crisco
10 tsp. baking powder
1 grated lemon plus juice
8 c. flour
2 c. powdered sugar
Water
Lemon flavor
Colored sprinkles

Beat eggs, add sugar and lemon, butter and Crisco. Blend in flour and baking powder. Roll into balls or drop with teaspoons on cookie sheet, 2-3 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until done. Cool on rack.

Mix powdered sugar, lemon flavor and enough water to make loose frosting. Dip cookies in frosting. Place on rack to dry. While frosting is wet, sprinkle with colored sprinkles. A large recipe.
