ITALIAN MEAT PIE
 

1 lb. lean ground beef
1/3 c. green pepper (chopped)
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 oz. pkg. spaghetti sauce mix
1/3 c. onion
1/4 lb. Italian sausage
6 oz. can tomato paste
1 (9 inch) pie crust shell (frozen)
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven 400 degrees. Brown beef and sausage in large skillet. Add green pepper, onion and cook 2 minutes. Stir in water, tomato paste and spaghetti sauce mix; cover and simmer 10 minutes.

Sprinkle half the Parmesan cheese over bottom of frozen pie shell. Spread half of meat mixture in pie shell. Sprinkle 1 cup Mozzarella cheese over meat. Layer remaining meat and Parmesan cheese.

Bake on cookie sheet for 15 minutes. Then sprinkle top with remaining Mozzarella cheese. Return to oven until cheese melts (5 minutes). Freezes well and reheats even better. Serves 4.
