2 c. sugar 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. Crisco 5 eggs, separated 2 c. flour 1 c. buttermilk 1 tsp. soda 2 c. coconut 1 c. chopped pecans 2 tsp. vanilla ICING: 1 lg. pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese 1 stick butter (don't melt) 1 box powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Cream 2 cups sugar, butter, and Crisco. Add egg yolks. Add flour, buttermilk, soda, coconut, pecans and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in 3 layers at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. |
