ORIENTAL CABBAGE
 

3 oz. pkg. Ramen noodles, chicken flavor
4 c. shredded cabbage
1/4 c. sliced red or green onion
2 tbsp. sesame seeds
3 tbsp. vinegar
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. salad oil
1/2 tsp. grated white pepper
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted

Crush noodles and separate. Place in colander. Pour boiling water over noodles to soften slightly. Drain well. In mixing bowl, combine noodles, cabbage, onions and sesame seeds. Toss well.

In a screw top jar, combine seasoning packet from noodles, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper and oil. Shake to mix well. Pour over cabbage and toss. Cover and chill several hours or overnight. Before serving, stir in almonds. Keeps 3 or 4 days.
