1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. water
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. soda
1/4 c. butter, melted
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. vinegar Mix all ingredients in order, adding one at a time. Beat 2 minutes. Double recipe for 9 x 13 inch pan. Grease and flour pan. Pour into pan. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Spread with the following icing: WACKY ICING: Mix and beat 2 minutes: 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. shortening
1 tbsp. milk 1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white, unbeaten Beat 2 minutes. Spread on cooled cake above. |
