2 1/2 c. apples, chopped 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. cinnamon Let above stand 10 minutes. 1 c. flour 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt Mix and set aside. 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 egg, beaten 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 c. chopped nuts Stir into apple mixture. Mix together. Pour into greased pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Top with hot caramel sauce. CARAMEL SAUCE: 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. whipping cream Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add: 1/4 c. butter 2 tbsp. vanilla Spoon over cake. |
