This is my easy fool proof Italian dressing - which has staying power, tastes best when made a day or two ahead (keep refrigerated). 1 1/2 c. olive oil 1/2 c. red wine vinegar 1 tbsp. pepper 1 1/2 tsp. fresh basil or 1/2 tsp. dried basil 1/4 tsp. dried oregano or 3/4 tsp. fresh oregano 4 or more crushed garlic cloves Combine - shake vigorously for 1 minute. Sprinkle salad generously with Parmesan cheese. Good luck! |
