2 c. mayonnaise
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. onion, chopped
3 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Combine all ingredients in bowl. Stir until well blended. Cover and chill. Makes about 2 cups of creamy-smooth dressing.
