4 med. cooking apples, peeled and cut in 1/4ths 1/2 c. water 1/3-1/2 c. granulated sugar 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/8 tsp. nutmeg Heat apples and water to boiling over medium heat. Reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally to break up apples, until 5-10 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling. Boil and stir 1 minute. About 3 cups. |
